Funny you should bump this thread. I need to buy the pump TODAY. Any last minute recommendations?

Walbro, or retrofit the Holley? Or?

Alan, the pump that I listed worked on my truck and no problems on the dyno. Came with a connector and I cut the old one off and wired this one in. Required a little bit of thought on how to get the filter to work, but all in all it was a "drop in" pump.

There isn't any link to a pump in the Dak-Dur link. If there is, I can't find it.

Just buy the srt 4 pump from Tre performance. No install kit needed, no rigged filter.

I bought mine used so it came with it.

However, you can get the install parts here. You need the filter and pigtail. You could get the hose and clamps, but they arent needed.

TRE says theirs "flows very similar to a Walbro".

I was talking about the srt 4 Walbro pump that Tre sells. Not Tre brand pump.

That fucking website is impossible. I registered, logged in, put the pump in the cart, filled in all of the fields, and it keeps making me repeat the cc information. Over and over. Fuck that. On to the next one.

Weird, I can understand that. Maybe I got lucky the first time and it has everything saved for me. I have ordered from them probably 5 times.

So are those the 2 clips I'm supposed to bust off to get the pump out?

Do these just wire right back up, red - red, black - black?

BTW- this is the 255l Walbro from modernperformance

No. The basket is 3 pieces. That center section is held in by clips. Slid a skinny screw driver between them to locate and die-assemble.

See the little tube on the right where the fuel level sender wires are going? Those are the two clips that you are suppose to press together to get it to slide out, but I couldnt do it so I broke em out. Fits so tight I never had a problem. The sleeve should slide out and then you can push the pump out.

N yup, just cut those wires off and crimp the new ones on.
