Default Spark Plug Info NGK/Autolite Cross-Reference

Alright guys, maybe this is already posted here somewhere but I didnt find it, I was hoping a Moderator could Sticky this near the top so it can always be found easily.

I've been trying to sort out the plug situation for our trucks and find out what exactly is cooler/hotter and the cross reference for NGK/Autolite numbers. I spoke with NGK and then did some research online and this is what I have found out:

Stock NGK V-Power plug for our trucks is: ZFR6F-11 (part number 4291). This is the standard heat range plug with the extended tip that you will most likely come across when looking up our plugs at the part store. The Autolite cross-reference for this plug is a 5224

A SLIGHTLY cooler NGK V-Power plug for our trucks is: BKR6E (part number 6962). This is a non-extended tip plug and according to NGK Tech Support it will run around 20-25* cooler than the plug above. Detonation may also be reduced because of the tip not being so far into the cylinder. The Autolite cross-reference for this plug is a 3923.

A full step cooler NGK V-Power plug for our trucks is: BKR7E (part number 4644). This is a non-extended tip plug and according to NGK Tech Support it is a full step cooler. The Autolite cross-reference plug is a 3922.

Now how about two steps colder for people who have boost and methanol?

No idea, You could call NGK and give them the BKR7E number and then ask for one step colder than that.

Just put an 8 in place of the 7, NGK gets colder the higher the number.
