Mine went 13.73@103 with only about 500 miles on the clock on a hot Oklahoma July day. My guess would be, novice driver or serious boost leaks.

Said you ran it up to 70 but you didnt let off through all 4 gears, how the hell did you do that?
What gears are you running to hit OD before 70? No wonder you kept up, gotta be running 6.50 gears!!!
My r/t's hit OD at 90 if I recall.

You're in OD at 35mph when it's floored?

Guess I was still in thrid then at 70 then? Thought I remembered feeling three shifts. All I know is it was the first time (and still the first time) I matted it and didn't let off even though the engine wound up way too high for my liking. This truck is my daily so I can't afford to really be beating on it and breaking stuff.

I am assuming you had it floored, WOT shift points on a stock r/t should be about 90 mph when it shifts into OD.
You stated you ran it thru all 4 gears, you would have to been traveling in the range of 90 to 113 mph, not 70. Just saying.

Taking the od off in town would raise it a couple hundred rpms, at higher speeds it would raise the rpms higher.

What rpms is your truck shifting out of 1st at WOT with the shift indicator in D. Just flooring it from take off?

Your TV cable may need adjustment.

You felt third lockup, not fourth. That's all.
