    Default Cracked Keisler BH

Cant say im surprised after dealing with all the other crap. Im glad I pulled everything when I did. Im taking it to get looked at tomorrow but im blaming it on the welds. The trans/motor had no preload in it so there was no reason for it to crack. I used all the supplied bolts so they didnt bottom on into the weld. This would explain my bad throw out bearing symptoms.

First pic on the left or second pic on the right, I bet thats where the crack started. Looks like they grinded back too far on that corner

At first I thought the bolt bottomed out agains the weld and split everything but I went back and looked at pics and it wasnt even close. Measured everthing and I had over 3/8" clearance.

Damn, you're lucky that didn't come apart with a hard shift.

That looks like a pretty crappy weld to me. Aluminum is tricky to weld because it disperses the heat too fast, good penetration take a perfect heat range. One good thing about an aluminum weld- the outside gives you a very good idea of the weld strength. It should be a perfect stack of dimes, anything less and you know theres problems underneath. Also, aluminum can be rewelded without any issues, a good welder can fix that up for you.

Yeah It could have been bad. Glad I didnt make any more attempts at the track and not being able to hook probably saved me.

I need to find a good shop around Annapolis/Baltimore. Im taking it to a machine/welding shop tomorrow to get their opinion.

I took the BH to a machine shop today. Had the guy do a small section and his welds looked great. Much better then the horseshit keisler crap. Its a little expensive but this is not something to be cheap about. He will also weld the inside which should have been done anyways. He said it was a horrible weld that was probably never cleaned. Ill have it back by friday.

    Shafti can go fuck himself

you think about getting any reimbursement from Keisler? Should'nt have to shell out your own dime for something like that...especially if it wasn't abused.

    Are you serious, LOL!

Shafi is a GRADE A donkey - that toolbox wont even ship the stuff people bought in a timely manner, let alone take care of any problems after the sale.

And with the beating Joe has given him on the forums I doubt he would do shit.

Quite honestly I think Shafi is an asshole.

Im thinking about it. How would you guys go about trying to get an reimbursement?

I never contacted them about the issue. If they didnt ignore me or tell me to screw off they would have offered to fix it but I dont want them touching anything.

I should probably send him an email. I would like to get his refusal is writting. I made a thread on moparts and I think the email would be a great addition to how much of a piece of shit he is.

Hahahah I can't wait to read that reply, although I'm not sure you'll get one.

BTW, I haven't even dealt with him myself (was close to doing what Jason did with him at Carlisle last year), but it makes me sick to my stomach to see him on Chop Cut Rebuild. He gets a lot of air time on there
