    Heads and cam I can see for sure, a fair amount of potential h.p with those mods. Stall converter is usually done to accommodate head / cam upgrades. Shift kit and gears are relatively inexpensive mods that don't really seem to me to be heavy mods, but I guess you have to draw the line somewhere. Not a big deal just thought I'd throw it out there.

    I suspect the reason is labor cost associated with the rear gears which make them pretty expensive compared to "bolt-ons" the owner can do himself if he chooses.

    I didn't pay that much for my built tranny, stall, and I will be getting a free gear install here soon- but I understand none of these things are easy or cheap for a lightly modded R/T owner.
