Man, if all these people come, maybe I can just have a real party, won't take that long to pull the engine. Already have most of the stuff off. Water pump, manifold and 1 set of RR are already off. Should have the heads off here in the next couple of days.

Good stuff. FYI, heads are way easier to pull and install once the motor is out and on a stand. If you pulling it anyway might as well wait. I just have to meet up with DRaven this weekend and next weekend I am going to install my new supercharger.

Only a few bolts at this point, plus I want to see if the inside is all good. going to put it all back together before Chris from PIE comes to pick it up. Good dude for coming all this way to pick it up to work on it for me.

once the heads are off it wont be long.. just gotta support the trans and remove the bell housing bolts, and the motor mounts.

yes. but make sure the trans is supported before you go to town on the BH bolts.

Also make sure to remove the flywheel bolts. the flexplate WILL NOT support the weight of the converter.

if you do that and take the starter off, take the splash pan of bust the torque converter loose and the tranny bolts, you have 10minutes worth of pulling the motor and your good

the tranny will be fine! it has the pins to help keep it in place!. but keep in mind if your truck is lowered the cherry picker wont make it under the lower control arms. i had to jack my truck up in order to get the engine hoist under it.

i hear ya there! torque converter unbolts fairly easy. 14mm box end wrench and 4 bolts. most of that shit is easier with a couple people though. it can be done by yourself though. i had my dad pump the hoist as i guided the motor out. but the rest i managed by myself

as long as the hoist goes high enough to clear your radiator and all the other good shit. unless you plan on pulling all that stuff too. my hoist wont get the motor high enough to get it over everything when the truck is on stands!
