Hey man, message me your info and Ill put you on the list. Have a little over 60 people so far.
Thanks again for jumping in and reaching out to Hotchkis. You will have more validity with the group than I will so any help you are willing to offer is outstanding and much appreciated. Let me know...
Thank you so much for the help buddy. I saw the email come through, lets do this!
If anyone has any degree of interest for a kit or parts please email Patrick at the sales address above. I feel shady asking for people's names and phone numbers hahaha.
Yeah I got my kit in 01 if I remember correctly. The TVS kit was $1200 and the shock option was like another $400. I think I was all in for just under 2k with shipping.
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. I will start reaching out to the other forums/pages. Any progress I make (or don't make) I will share here. Thanks again!
So I reach out to Hotchkis and bug them every few months. Finally they responded with something with a little potential. I cut and pasted the email I got from Patrick at Hotchkis below.
What are...
Thanks Red. I does have the bleeder. I was able to perform a "bush fix" to get me home. Went down to maintenance and found some hose clamps and some rubber sheet. I folded the rubber around the...
Thanks Mike, so is there a way to bleed pressure or is it only pressurized while running? Im thinking it would be best to replace the fuel rails as an assembly and assume the line would come included...
So mice must have gotten into the engine bay and chewed a coupe things. My daily died yesterday and I havent been driving the dakota because there are some tings I want to install this winter....
Its not C-notched yet. In addition to the 3" Belltech leafs, they threw a 1" block in as well. I cut an inch off the bump stop so there is 3" from the tube to the frame and 2" from the bottom of the...
Thanks, I will definitely check that out. I appreciate the suggestion.
The front seems to ride alright, it's definitely the rear end that is causing the bulk of the issue. It's not bottoming out its just too stiff, even the small bumps rattle my teeth.
Here are a couple pics. Maybe just lowering springs?
Hello,
I have a 00' regular cab, bought it with drop spindles in the front and the belltech 3" drop springs in the back with the nitro shocks. The ride is rough... much rougher than my first R/T...
Welcome! I'm over in Churchville just west of Rochester. Been to Wilburts a few times this fall to snag some interior parts I needed. Let me know how the swap goes, I'm interested in doing the same.
Hey arro, thanks! Not a body man, I grew up in the machine shop as a mold maker. I've been welding and machining steel for about 25 years. With a little practice and some screw ups I've been getting...
Thanks its actually pretty easy and forgiving once you get the hang of it. Definitely different from shooting enamel or laquer. I figured it was a cool short term option while figuring things out.
Thanks Red. The previous owner had the sound deadening already installed... it was solid so I just left it. It's actually plasti-dip grabber blue. But I tore the entire truck apart, addressed any...
Yup. Spot welded across the windshield and rear window pinch welds, along the cab door opening "drip rails" and up and over each plastic trim piece that runs over the top on each side down to the top...
Well it took me about six months, but I finally got the truck all one color. Found a little rust under the windshield pinch weld so I found a donor cab and welded on a new roof panel. Even got to...
Sweet! That must have been a beautiful ride. New Mexico and Arizona landscape is so different from what I'm used to in Western NY. Car scene still crazy in AZ? I remember even minivans were lowered...
I did negotiate the price down, plus so far I've "made" $725 back from selling the audio (sub enclosure/amp) equipment and a few other things. Still have a tonneau, grill and fascia, and drag wheels...
What question? Yes it was the one in Ft Meyers... yes it was the one he was asking$5500 for, and yes I did not pay that much. Feel better now, or is there anything else?
BTW, you should see what we have to choose from in western ny.. I was looking at another one with 200k and through rust and the guy wanted almost 8! Insanity. This one drove like a top all the way...
