46RE you going to lose at 50 to 60Hp (OD unit sucks Hp), on a 5 speed, 4 is straight through, the lowest lost of drive power. The manual is going to put more power to the tires even with the same Hp.

Depending on dyno, factory rear wheel was around 190hp. So you're right there.
The yellow truck is a dual piston front brake. 2003 if no one had done the swap.
I looked at Advance auto, ball joints have the same part number, tie rod ends had different numbers. 2001 Dakota uses the same tie rod end on both sides, 2003 Durango uses a right/left. Reading old...
I read the 2001 and up ball joints and tie rods were the same. I'll have to go back and check.
Looking at Rock Auto, there are a few different manufactures (or distributors) of front brake lines. Is Doorman okay to get?
Very Nice.
I didn't know that, I will check with him when I drop them off.
I know this thread is old, but I thought I could use it as my guide and update everyone here on the progress.
Bringing back this old thread. I'm starting to collect the parts to upgrade my 2001 to the post 2003 front brake package. I found a refurbish set of Durango calipers and brackets for a pretty good...

I have the Spintech Twin exhaust/muffler with the exit in front of the right rear tire. Sometimes the muffler heat shield attached to the bed vibrates. Has anyone removed it? Is there any problems...
You can do a search, but I wanted to let you know there is a any easy fix if the plate on the bottom of the intake is leaking. I know Hughes and a few others make a thicker plate/kit you can put on...
Okay, I'm going to replace the cam bearing too.
I'll find out in a month or two when I pull the short block out. The heads are off to be ported, so I'm going to pull the short block for a repaint, install the 7 qt oil pan, and install the poly...
That would drive me nut too, I understand.
Do they break a lot? Should I keep an eye for one for my stash of parts?
No thanks, I already have shorties with a full dual Spintech exhaust and I'm not going to cut it up. Edelbrock shorties were 1 5/8" primaries and all other shorties were 1 1/2", so if I can find a...
Thank you, I went through the search function, I couldn't really find what our stock 5.9 deck/piston heights are from the factory. I didn't know if .040 below the deck was close.
Does this sound right for compression?
- Edelbrock heads (suppose to be 58cc) I used 62CC
- Cometic head gasket 4.040x.027 = 5.7cc
- Stock piston to deck clearance -.040
- Stock piston dish...
Yes, from HiPotek. I have a MSaine VB, not sure if he uses it or something like it. It's an easy install. I'm going to have my VB out to install the two valves to feed the convertor while in park...
Edelbrock shorty headers.
Aww, too many windows.

Do you know anyone with a HP Tuner? I think they read without buying credits, when it connects, it shows the VIN.
Has anyone used this?
