Hughes 1.65 Roller Rockers (HUGH 1550), Edelbrock guide plates and CompCams 7634 Pushrods (5/16" diameter and 6.95" length). These were mocked up, not run. Complete.
$275 - shipping to lower 48...
Fluid level is fine. It's not burnt or stinky. Thinking one of the solenoids is bad - not sure they were replaced with the rebuild.
Well - technically it was my son, but now the "rebuilt" 46 RE is slipping. My Konnwei scanner doesn't see the TCM. I see two codes I can't read. I assume those are the trans codes. Which scanner...
There's another cheap R/T listed in St. Louis:

Truck keeps running better and better. My wife is upset about the multiple tire marks in the driveway. It's deadly from a roll @ 25 mph. Still needs some tuning, but wow.
Looks great - kicking myself about missing that one. I live in NOCO, but work downtown. Looks great with new paint! Nice find!
Yes and yes! I have the edelbrock guide plates...stock block deck height and "stock" (not shaved) heads! The guide plates are very thick. I will check those out. That's nut's BTW.
Well after much headache, the R/T is back on the road. To say the least this thing seriously hauls the mail!
I estimate mid-high 12's with the new upgrades. I've never driven a car that's as...
Just as a frame of reference...
I have the KB107's and EQ heads. I also went with the Hipotek HPT220X 110 LSA.
Had to go with the Cometic gaskets (0.051 compressed). I had originally measured...
Motor back in! Not fired yet. Flyin Ryan is next on my list. Will fire this weekend. Had to order header gaskets.
I've got the Mid-length Spintechs and have the straight boots, no issues.
I just went through this yesterday with my Hughes 1550's. Have to use the guide plates otherwise they will move to funny angles on the valves. Mine got all wonky with a few spins of the motor...
So just an update - motor is back together and in the truck. Had to order header and collector gaskets so should be fired up by the end of the weekend. Will need computer tune before it runs...

ok - I think I'm correct now...14972
Motor is out - brandy new Eagle rods in there!
I finally got the piston part number - they are KB107. Those are a flat top with valve reliefs. KB website shows 10.9 to 1 with a 62 cc head.
Motor does have Eagle Rods...that's a nice find.
A few things on the 10.2 on pump gas:
Hyperutectic pistons hold heat = better burn
I am 5030 elevation
Didn't knock when previously running
Thoughts?

Well I did go for the Hughes Roller Rockers - found a used set on ebay. They are 1.65 ratio, so cam specs are a little more aggressive on lift.
Went with the HiPoTek HPT220XP Performance...
I have picked a few things since last post:
Went with the HiPotek .512/.512 cam, 220 and 230 at 0.050
Got the new springs that match the cam - they are a single with Dampener and they don't...
Stock rockers are good until around .525 lift - so no, you don't always need to replace the rockers. Adjustable rockers add how much power?
I don't know yet on the pistons. Motor isn't quite out. Was going to measure everything when it's apart. Hoping I don't find anything else wonky.
Looking like I'm at least 10+ to 1, maybe...
