I have found that on radials (drag radials) or bias (slicks) run a rim that is AT LEAST the width of the tire if not slightly wider. This gives more stability on the top end.

@Musky Mike: Yup, figured it wasn't too difficult. The rest of it is the hard part!
What about just cleaning out the bottom of a Kegger and cutting the top off to weld an aluminum plate for the base of the blower?
For a 408, that blower will be too small. That blower was intended for a "basically stock" motor.
I have a Powerdyne on my 2000. I used to run the FMU but like others have said, skip it and go with SCT. In the long run, you will go that route anyway so may as well save your time and money. ...
Anyone?
I am also trying to get a copy. The link above does not work... anyone have a good link? Thanks!
At 1.65 installed height and .578 lift cam, you will coil bind...
Where are you seeing that info?
RUSH it is...greatest rock band of ALL TIME. And don't even start in with "Led Zepplin is better"...:nono:
"Tire diameter can throw the speedo off however" I don't believe this is correct. Our trucks use a speed sensor that ignores the tire height.
Bummer that another thread dies..
After some coffee, I finally get where everyone is going with that! :dumbass234::jester:
But....I would still love some info on the topic!
I guess I don't understand where he is pointing me to look?
I looked in the tranny forum but didn't see anything...
Thanks Slammed. Do you know where I can get more information?
I am not expecting many positive replies to this, but has anyone done this?
I wonder how many realize where your user name comes from?
I like these as they are similar to the SRT style: http://www.blackrhinowheels.com/truck-wheels-truck-rims-kunene.php
But $330 a piece list price..yikes!
That looks sweet...but I am confused....everywhere mentions Durango...not Dakota... even though that is a Dakota... I would surely get one!
Just put 275/50/17...
You can use the Exreme Velocity one with the "stock" hold down by modifying it a bit which is what I did.
I use the Extreme Velocity one also.
Sold!
I have some RHS heads for sale. Check the for sale forum.
