The non lock up A-518 uses the same converter as a 727 non lock up, but the 46RH/RE use a different converter from the 727 and 904 non lock-ups. I believe non lock up is 26 spline and lock up is 27...
The A518 was made in non lock up till 1991 then from 1992 to 1995 it was a lock up converter and called the 46RH, in 1996 when it went to electronic governor control it became the 46RE
