Good place to start
It needs some updating done.
What would be interesting to me are the internal engine differences. You have some traveling 10's and low 11's and still others with the same type of boosts mechanisms (nitrous, turbo or sc) going much slower.
Obviously cam, heads and intake take on new meaning with "details" of what those cam, heads and intake specs are. Certainly pistons, cranks and rotating assemblies come to mind but top engine stuff is the least amount of work for the available bang for the buck. An interesting challenge would be who can go the fastest with the engine that came in these trucks with an expenditure of 6K and remain streetable.
I don't know if this forum ever had a break down of what people did to their trucks to obtain the times and speed they did but it is intriguing that these trucks are all over the place numbers wise.
Depends on the DA....LOL

6's in the 1/4 mile
I mean, kinda. PSTs weren't really Dakotas, they just looked like them...
They never started as a factory vehicle and there's no VIN, dimensions are way different, complete tube chassis race cars from day one that just happen to resemble a Dakota. They're basically Pro Mods, but with N/A small blocks instead of 4500HP big blocks.
Same reason a Pro Stock Neon, Dart, Camaro, Cobalt, etc. aren't really any of those things.
It's not the same, the wheelbase is 125 versus 131 and change (which is actually slightly longer than a extended cab Ranger/S10). They're like 7/8s scale Dakotas lol. Drag Pak cars are at least based on a factory shell that comes out of a Chrysler plant. Nothing on a PST is the same as a factory Dakota.
Still a Dakota
