Well I got W/T out to Bremerton for some T&T yesterday...

Last year I was launching with no more than 5.4 lbs. of boost,, so Jess did some tweaking with the DFI timing and A/F between 2500 and 2700 rpm.

I've also been wanting to see how the truck hooks up on launch without the 50 lb. weight bar on the back.

So I took the bar off yesterday...

Well that ended up being a bad idea. I got 3 runs in and my launch boost was 8.3,, 7.8,, and 6.8 lbs. respectively. The first 2 runs were without the bar and I couldn't hook for shit. The first run was the worst I have ever spun off the line. Couldn't hook anything up till 30' out... Still ran 11.48.

3rd run I put the bar back on... It ran 11.29 @ 119 mph. Launched pretty hard and it felt good going down the track, but wasn't quite a new best time. A little more tweaking and I should get down under 11.25.

Funny how a 50 lb. bar full of birdshot can be a good thing, but it really helps me plant the tires with that much boost.

Season opener is gonna rain out today:mad::(

Nice! Your truck is getting to the tens.

What rpm are you launching at, and whats your peak boost?

Yeah 10's would be nice, but I'm actually trying to avoid it. The truck is only tech'd to 11.00,, so I'd be kicked off the track if I did. :(

Launch limiter is set at 2600 rpm because the converter won't hold me at that boost. If I go to 2700, it creeps on me.
Yesterday I launched at 2680,, 2550,, and 2570.
Boost peaks quickly in 1st gear at 13, then peaks again around 12.5 in 2nd and 3rd gear.

How's your set up doin?? Have you had it to the track yet??

I just graduated, and am starting a job, the money isnt there right now to get my truck on the road. I didnt have enough money to even get it back home with me, so its in my storage unit 400 miles away.

Im pretty good at making money fast though. So hopefully soon I can get my truck and put a good trans in it. I have only drove it in first gear (thats all my trans has. I have a 8lb. spring in my wastegate, and I was making 7psi under 3k rpm. So with the pressure drop through the intercooler and probally a few boost leaks Im sure I was making max boost. I can tell Im going to have to step up the boost pretty soon.
