I'm sure you'll find a canister but would advancing your cam a bit be a possibility for your setup at this point? ie..sufficient piston to valve clearance room, enough power curve room to back it off a bit and not affect top-end performance too much. I'm not done yet but have recently been doing some late-night research on the cause and affect of adjusting cam timing. A lot of good reads out there.

canister only gives you a little more time. Vac pump is the fix. I had a canister and ended up switching to a pump.

What size cam are you running?

250 dur 644 lift it only pull 2or 3 iches of vac at idle

Canister won't help that.

Yeah, a canister can only store what an engine produces.

I wonder if you have some other problem causing low vacuum. 2 -3 in-hg seems pretty low, doesn't it?

I would think he would easily have three times that. Low idle speed, improper cam timing, rocker adjustment?

he didn't mention his LSA.

with that Duration and an LSA of 108 or below your hurting for vacuum.

my cam lsa is 108 idle speed is fine cam timing is fine, and my rockers are not ajustable. having no vac is what it is. what i want to know is what to do about it.

That's a drag race cam pretty much. Need to look into Hydraboost or some other sort of vacuum system.

That is a HUGE cam.

Not really, just a ton of overlap. Bleeds cylinder pressure, less vac, etc.

I used a vacuum reservoir/canister in my car, it works great, but my car is allot lighter I don't know if that will make a big difference

Needs to run an electric brake booster like some caddys run.

A can won't give you any more vacuum. Just "stores" more vacuum.

i didn't want to hear a pump running so i went with a hydroboost since i will be running 41" tires with hydro-assist steering.
