I followed a very cool link yesterday on Moparts to a graphing HP calculator. Apparently it's VERY close for a whole bunch of people when comparing the numbers to their engine or chassis dyno info vs their actual track performance. It features sliders for weight vs power and gives hypothetical ET and MPH to help you figure out where you are now. The part I like about it is it clearly shows me the "What If" numbers if I added power or lost weight.

Give it a try!

BTW - for my present stats it shows 616rwhp / 684 at the flywheel. That's a little bit below some of the other calculators I've tried, but the Moparts crowd swears it's very close for them.

does anyone have dyno#'s+race weight+1/4 mile times to test it?

That's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

It has my small block at 39X to the wheels. I'm getting it dynoed this summer so I will see how close it is.

Were shooting for 600 crank on the big block. In a 3400 pound truck it says 10.4 @ 130. I will see how close it is to that when it's actually done.

mine is dead on. for the HP from when I was on a dyno last and weight of my truck I would run 14.10. this past tuesday I ran a 14.116

It is .08s and .2mph off for me NA. I adjusted it for the whp my last dyno showed, and the race weight. Not too shabby.

It seems to think I'll need 320whp to break 12s. 6psi should eek that out if you perscribe to 25% drivetrain loss. If drivetrain losses are similar to stock (60HP) it will probably blast into the 12s. I guess we'll see in the fall.

I need to drop about 70 lbs or gain about 8 hp to make it to the 13's

4000 is a safe number to use.

Alright, I was using it for the cal so I want to be putting down 250 to the wheels (i figure mids with 3" single, 1.7 roller rockers, 52 mm tb, m1 2bbl should get me there?) and it says about a 14.1 which doesn't seam to bad really

That's about right power-wise, with some type of pcm tuning involved. 14.1 might take some practice. Just because the calculator is accurate for some doesn't mean it'll be accurate for everyone. It was .35 seconds and 1.5mph off of my best. Considering I didn't spin, it was about 35* outside and the track elevation is less than 200 feet...I don't expect to be doing any better than that any time soon, at least not without drivetrain modifications (which might be part of the reason it is off for me).

sorry forgot about my SCT tune as well. I don't have headers and don't really see getting them this summer anytime, but i am still hoping to get into mid 14's with everything else tho
