View Full Version : Getting a Database Error when trying to go to a certain fourm

Everytime I click on Region 7 I get a screen that says Database error if i click on the most recent topic it lets me in but not when i click on the fourm itself
It also happen when I tried to click here for site suggestions and feedback

That was me - we had a problem with the server last night, identical to the sort of issues I had with my site last year before I switched servers. I was making some modifications to try and alleviate the problem, that caused a momentary database burp.

I'm sure there's bound to be some initial "teething" problems - especially with every new person uploading all their profile stuff and of course everybody hitting the server at the same time.
Thanks Steve for staying on top of it and babysitting it all day! You guys have done an outstanding job. Have you had to empty you pm box yet? hehehe

Sorry guys, that was me again... I went back into my dak-dur archives to see what patches I made to my config files to help stretch out the time between database errors (I don't have to use them anymore with my new server). It took a couple trial & error tweaks because vBulletin changed the format of its SQL variables with the last release.
I'm hoping (crossing fingers) that there shouldn't be anymore SQL errors here in the future. If they do pop up we can transition to some other solutions.
