I just ordered/installed QA1's up front. Interested to see how these work for people.

Are the Summit shocks adjustable, or full time 90/10?

I put the Summit shocks on mine. The Summit shocks are supposed to have 3 settings. I can't say that I could tell any difference between the settings at all. They worked just "ok" for about 100 miles of street driving. Now they do nothing at all. In Summit's defense - it clearly states that they are not for street use. It's time for me to take them off and throw them away after 500-600 street miles.

I don't recommend them if you plan on doing anything more with them than driving down the track.

That sucks. I already have QA1 90/10s up front, was just curious.

Caution: Shocks with large compression and rebound differentials, such as 90/10 valve rates, should never be used on a street-driven vehicle. These shocks are intended for off-highway competition use only.
THIS IS WHAT SUMMIT SHOCKS SAY ON THE WARNING LABLE BUT IS ONLY IF YOU HAVE THEM ON THE 90/10 SETTING OTHER THAN THAT (NO I WOULD NOT TRY TO THINK YOU COULD HIT A CORNER AT 80MPH WITH A DRAG SHOCK IF SO THAT PERSON SHOULD JOIN THE AUTOCROSS GROUP)AND WITH THAT SAID ANY 90/10 SHOCK ON THE MARKET WILL SAY THE SAME THING.:jerkit:

Hahahaha. I wonder if I could get an exclusive marketing agreement with Summit? My drag shocks are now 0/0 shocks. People are going to call my truck the black porpoise as they watch it going down the freeway over the expansion joints. I bet the people ahead of me at night think I'm flashing my headlights over and over with each bump. Hmmm, maybe that's why they always get out of my way? LOL

My porpoising gets worse by the month, I think my rear end bottoms out several times a day as well.

Duner did, but he cheated :jester: Brad in WA is the only one I'm aware of that gets air consistently, he's got a lot of weight reduction and ladder bars with I believe 5.xx gears.

I wouldn't mind catching a lil air (not enough to break anything), but I don't think it'll happen. There's guys cutting 1.5's that aren't getting 'em off the ground, these things are pretty heavy up front.

Just by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin.

Lots of ballast in the bed that made a big bang sound when it hit the tailgate on launch. A photographer got this shot on what was most likely the only time it's ever happened. Cheating... dumb luck. I'll take whatever I can get.

I wish I could pull the front up but yep with the heavy weight no way its gonna happen. So desperately need to get front skinnies this year to lighten up and reduce the rolling resistance.

Got the same shocks. If you order for a 70-72 Chevelle/Malibu you're good to go. Just driving around on the street...not really seeing an improvement in front end rise when nailing it. Might not be as good as having the front left blown out shock that was on there. Had those street shocks warrantied out and have them on again. May try the drag shocks when I can get the truck in shape for the track again.
