An engine torque strap is available for the 1997-2003 4X2 Dodge Dakota with the 5.2 and 5.9 Magnum engine.

An engine torque strap prevents unwanted side-to-side movement of the engine due to the extra load from aggressive driving, racing, and higher horsepower applications. It can prevent broken motor mounts and is able to handle upgraded power and excessive vibration. This torque strap is a step above the use of chains, cable…and nylon straps.

Unnecessary side-to-side movement of the engine consumes horsepower that would be better utilized putting the power to the ground.

The torque strap works as a turn-buckle with rod-ends at each end. Turn it one way, and you can add preload at the track. Turn it the other way, and you can relax it for every day driving.

This kit comes complete with all necessary hardware and grade-8 fasteners, including nylon lock-nuts. It is completely bolt-on. No drilling or fabricating is necessary. It is available in black powder coating and bare uncoated steel for those that may wish to get it powder coated a custom color on their own.

i purchased this strap after i broke a drivers side engine mount. this has got to be the best part i've ever purchased. no drilling required. 30 minute install, less engine vibration, done.

This isn't being used in place of a broken motor mount is it?
