i think i am fixing to buy a bike. Went and looked a couple of used bikes yesterday and noticed they still had the one i was looking at last summer. its an 05 fz6 with pipes, a power commander programer, a k&n filter and hp box. They said they would take 4k of it with 11k mi. on it. They told me an older guy owned and took very good care of it. There's not a scratch on it and has never been dropped. I'm not looking for a super fast bike manily looking for something with good road manners, good gas mileage and low insurance.

If that's what you are looking for, I might suggest a dual sport bike. I have an FJR1300 and a KLR650. The KLRs are great all around bikes. It's a thumper and gets great mileage. The insurance is pretty reasonable. Aside from that, you can take it off the road and go trail riding if you like. If you are interested in one of them, I would also add that you look at the pre '08 models. That's just my opinion.

Two kinds of Motorcyclists out there....
Those that have crashed, and those that are.

i would suggest a sv650, the handle great, get great gas mileage, and are all over the place.

Most crotch rockets to have full coverage will cost more then your truck a year!! If you get liability only on it then it would be cheap!

Full coverage on my cruiser costs me $430 a year for it. My old cruiser for liability only was like $90 a year.
