I just bought the truck in october and havent really driven cause im in Afghanistan. I put some new halo eye projection headlights in and was wondering if i need a ballist resister or something. I dont know if it did it with the factory headlights cause i never drove it with the factory headlights. Everytime i turn the headlights on the radio has a lot of static. Turn the headlights off and radio works fine. Any suggestions please let me know.
I will be in the states in about 10 days..... I cant freaking wait.

Are you running HIDs in the halo's? I've heard a few people have problems with their radio after installing HIDs. If so, you might need to upgrade to a digital ballast.

Im not real sure that they are HIDs, im almost positive they are. Any ideas where i could get one of those or is it best to buy it off the web.

My GF bought my HIDs from http://www.badablinghids.com/ and they work great. Im sure you could just google HID's though and contact any of the 1,000's of places that pop up and they'd be able to help you.

this is common with magnetic ballasts. you can buy a ground loop kit that gives you a better ground that gets rid of this issue. my hid guy sells it for 20 bucks
