A few things are pending right now but I am in the process of bringing the Side Skirts back to life. They will now be made of Urethane and hopefully, if all works out, will be available to the masses sometime either next week or the week after the latest. Beginning sets will be available for all configurations of the GenIII Dakota(RC, CC, and QC) whether you have flares or not. GenI and II Daks along with the Durangos will follow along with the family of Rams but only time will tell on those.

I am finalizing the process this weekend and plan to begin shipping the first batch early next week in hopes of gaining positive feedback. I doubt there will be any bugs to address from this batch but if so, I'll take care of it, modify the process accordingly, and then we're off to the races.

The point of this post is to inform those of you that are not already in the know of what I'm doing and that these are coming. The price of these skirts will be $280.00 plus shipping with DRTC members receiving an undetermined discount for their order.

I'll officially announce this with pics and feedback soon within my own sub-forum here but in the interim I would like to know who might be interested in a set by the end of March? Reason being that I need to make a 5 hour round-trip run to Norfolk for additional supplies to keep up with demand and would rather limit those runs as much as possible.

For those interested, please simply post your username within your reply so we have a running list. Please save Qs for after the official announcement as I may have already answered them within the announcement.

They're in my pic. Maybe a little hard to see, but they are about 2" tall and mount in front of the "pinch weld" at the bottom of the body line. They fit between the 2 wheel openings and at the bottom of the rear quarter panel.

Don't know about that, but it took 2 sets to get a fair pair. The first shipment from GiSM, had more 'fisheyes than an aquarium'! Horrible paint job! I called Scott, he said to ship them back and he'd take a look. He called me back 4 days later and said 'these aren't bad---they're horrible'. He sent another set that appeared to be pretty good. I put them on, and within a month of driving, the paint started to peel and flake off. Took them off, sanded down to bare fiberglass and re-painted them myself with a 2 rattle-cans of Mopar touch-up (from Danno) and some Autozone clearcoat. Good to go, and looked great.

From what I understand, the FG molds got screwed up and rendered useless. That in itself is the main reason for them being discontinued a couple years ago. I have created new molds using an R/T Mods set that came with my new-to-me R/T but was never installed although already prepped and painted. I got Todd's blessing to duplicate these as he is the originator.

They were not in the best of shape either as in warped and the "claws" had way too much gap for the flares. So the molds I made from them needed a lot of improv and modeling clay to get them just right for the urethane.

I just prepped the first driver side set made and installed it for pics even though it got dark out before I was able to put them on. Although this first set has its minor flaws that are not visible, the claws are tight and the fit is great. I have since corrected those flaws with subsequent sets being made. I did not, repeat did not, have to test fit these back to the truck after they came out of the mold. They just fit as I intended them to when I made the molds.

I'm uploading the night time pics now. Yes I had my flood light out to help.
