Who has done it and what kits have you used? Thinking of selling the Hotchkis leafs, Caltracs and Bilstein shocks that go with the hotchkis.

Not going to happen come to think of it, the Damn gas tank is in the way. I would have to move that POS. I want to keep using my stock fuel gauge and keep the intank fuel pump. I need to stop doing shit to this damn truck.

Brad Ortloff is running a ford 9" with Strange C.O.'s (single adjustable- 110 lb. spring) and ladder bars.
Hopefully you have a fuel cell, or your gonna have to relocate the stock gas tank to make it work.

BTW: Brad might be selling his coil overs. He's going to a different brand shock this year. He said he would sell them cheap.

You can run a four link on the outside of the frame. But it seems you want stupid wide tires, so that's not going to help much.

Without leaf springs, I don't see why you couldn't run some pretty nasty times on a good DR. There are lots of classes doing it. (not many with trucks though....)

FWIW, you're hooking damn good with what you have. Sometimes ya gotta draw the line, otherwise it never ends (trust me, I know lol).

Yea that is what I am thinking. I might just narrow the rear a couple of inches. He said I could narrow it up to 3 inches with the tires I have on there now.

4 Link and an adjustable coil over and strut is basically what im planning to do with mine. I want an adjustable ride height, and adjustable dampening effect for street and track. Wider tires is just a plus. LOL

Well I just ordered the 4-link

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEE-2017/

Got it for 190.90 shipped after a price match. Going to put it on the outside fo the frame rails in place of the leaf springs. Will shed some weight too losing the springs and going 4-link and coilover.

Curious to know which coilover kit you use with that.

I feel like I have been a guinea pig for a few things already, haha. Not really, but I will be.

Outside of the frame rails in place of the leafs is what I eventually wanted to do. I figure if you can fit MH 390s and not hit the leaf springs, that's wide enough for a dual purpose truck.

What are you doing for horizontal location of the axle?

Going to let the installer figure that out. Should not be that big of a deal. Probably something coming from the passenger side to the axle.

Exactly I have called it a day and am not modding anything else period, you just have to look at your priorities and say enough is enough.

Well after I sell the complete 03 rear, the hotchkis leafs, Cal tracs, and shocks, I end up only spending about 400 dollars more to get this done. I am hoping that it rides a little better also.
