anyone familiar with charger/challenger handles? i need to know if this is one solid piece, or does the handle separate from the shaft? i think this would be pretty badass on my megashifter.

it looks like its one solid piece, just looking at how it tapers down at the bottom, like the whole thing screws onto the threads in the console.

wouldn't be a big deal to cut it off and drill/tap the hole for the megashifter.. but id really rather not do that.

I think it's just the hand grip, not the shaft.... Go for it, let us know if it works :D

It does not screw on, it's held on by set screws. At least all the aftermarket ones I know of are. In 2008, Dodge switched from the threaded shifter shafts to a notched one. If you want to look at some other options for shifter handles, check out www.billettechnology.com (http://www.billettechnology.com) and look under the Charger interior mods. I have one o these coming for my Charger, but they have other styles as well, including a t-handle like you are looking at.
