I went to the track for the first time. My 8th mile was 9.564. Everthing pretty much stock, including tires. Is that any good?

That's about 15 flat in the 1/4, not bad. RC or CC?

about half a sec...
Pretty nice time!!!

My best is 9.87 on the 1/8 and 15.29 on the 1/4 (same run)...
but I found after that run that I had a spark plug wire that was cut

that run should equate to around a 14.9 -15.0 in the 1/4 mi. last year i ran a 9.50 in the 1/8 and a 14.90 in the 1/4 on the same run.
