Anyone out there do a c-notch on the rear frame for clearance? I saw a kit made by DJM that is bolt in and wandered how it fits if anyone used it. I am lowered 4" in the rear and I bottom out just by pushing down on the tailgate. Would shocks help with this problem or do I have to notch the frame?

How would shocks increase the distance between your axle tube and bump stops and/or frame rail?

Shocks aren't going to make it a better ride but if you do get some stiff ones you might not hit the frame anymore. But the ride quality will still be bad

you can notch your frame and bag your truck.. May help your ride.. but very expensive..

did you cut or replace your bump stops? you can use pancake bump stops in the back if your resting on them. if that doesn't work its c-notch time.

I think suicide doors has a kit that I used, its bolt in, but had it welded in for better structure. Not the one I used but similar.
