Wow it looks great! My question is , Well a few questions if you don.t mind.
1. What power gains did you get, I noticed you left the throttlebody stock!
and did you have to use some sort of tuner to do any recallibrations to the change?
2. I am looking at possibly getting a 408 stroker down the road and the dude from HiTech in Elk River MN, said he just uses my old intake and ports it to fit? Most strokers are LA Blocks while these Dakotas are Magnums. So pondering the thought why the M1 would be more suited. At the current price of $600 for the little bastard, I have heard that some guru's are using an Edelbrock and doing it that way! Have you heard of this. About $92

m1 = fuel injected versions available
edelbrock = not
you could put bosses in the edelbrock... or, go carbed with your magnum block

I changed the throttle body the first time I had cash to spare. Although I still went cheap. I bought a ported throttle body from a guy who makes his own over at dak-dur. I noticed alot better upper rpm power. I did notice a little low end torque loss however I was told that using a turtle would help bring back that low end torque. So bought and installed one of them and to be honest I didn't notice any noticable gain. So then I bought a Mopar Performance PCM. With that installed it improved alot in upper RPM power range. But was not worth a shit for hauling a trailer. Low end was bad bad bad with the pcm installed pulling a 2000lb trailer. Once i put the stock PCM back in it pulled the trailer like a dream.
And i think manciniracing.com has the non egr M1 for like 475.00. You can cut the runners in your own Kegger for about 20 bucks in dremel cutoff wheels.:) But the kegger is ugly and in no way looks good on our motors. I dont know and cant tell you if the ported runnerless kegger is any different then the M1.
Please note I'm not an expert in this stuff and alot of other guys have way more knowledge of the magnum then I do. And they say with an SCT tuner and hemifevers tunes you will have better results. A mopar pcm is basically a canned tune from mopar and its not tuned specifically to your application. One tune fits all so to speak.
Here is a link to the M1 for 446.00 new. http://www.monicattichrysler.com/comersus/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=1344
