ok here are my mods K&N fpkit, sct performance tune, aps 2600 stall and tranny, 53mm throttle body, spintech full setup.

(all this stuff i have and is ready to be installed )plans eddy heads,210x cam, 1.72 rr, underdrive pulley, msd6a box, and a 100 shot.

the question will a 4barrel m1 with the adapter plate be tooooo big for what i have planned. mind you i have a 2 barrel right now but i got someone that has a brand new one and i figured i would trade straight up. just wanted to get some input before i made the deal so what do you guys thing

The nitrous should make back any low end torque loss from the bigger intake. I say you'd be ok. Leave the underdrive pulley out, it doesn't do much but cause charging problems. I'd also spray a 150 shot too!

All day long I'd spray that shit! :jester: Just keep the fuel a tad on the rich side and you'll be ok.

I neither felt or seen a difference with it, except for the charging issues at night, headlights on, idling.

I'd keep the 2bbl, unless you have plans for a bigger cam and the heads are fully ported, then of course you'd want a bigger stall and gears.

No way...It caused me all kinds of grief because the alternator spins too slow to keep everything up and running....And I don't even have a radio!

As far as ud pulley's I have the $50 March set and noticed the lights getting brighter at night when I would give it gas. I put the stock alt pulley back on, kept the crank pulley and everything is fine now. I had to change out the belt to a 6 rib now, though, cuz I have A/C bypassed too. Works fine.

see thats the thing i might down the line go and get something bigger like i would love to have a 224 cam or even go with a 427 ,360based but thats down .....way down the line. did you have a 2 barrel on yours ????

I wouldn't trade straight up for a 4 barrel the the 2 barrel is worth more.

I had the 4bbl on mine, but that was with the blower, makes a big difference. And as Mike mentioned, if you do it, I wouldn't trade straight up, the 2bbl goes for about $200 more than a 4bbl. I'd say wait and then on down the road if you do change your setup, you can look at swapping. You can always sell a 2bbl easy.
