What did it run? And how long do you want it to last?

my goat was stock. I would like to be able to drive it gas mpg is not an issue which im sure you guessed that since i own a 12 mpg truck stock. Let me know because im fixn to start sinking money in her. Im thinking heads cam forged pistons not sure if im going to supercharge or turbo it yet they both have their pros an cons an i really dont feel like changing the head gaskets every time i drive her. what do ya"ll think??

To run with a stock GTO you don't need toooooo much. That is a high 12.

210/220 cam (can go bigger as this is a mile cam)
2.02 heads (I prefer the edelbrocks, light port work)
Spintech Headers
True Dual exhaust
1.6 Roller Rockers
2bbl M1
52x55 TB
Built tranny with a valve body (MSaine)
3000 Stall converter
14x3 Air filter
Caltracs with a good drag radial.

Easy 12's there.

Ah, I did it close to 3 grand. Then again, I got the cam, RR, Timing Chain and new lifters for 400 bucks. haha. You can go with a set of EQ heads for about 1200 dollars instead of the Edelbrocks.

my s/c set up cost me about 3 grand! plus the tranny, heads, rr's, cam, push rods, head gaskets, intake gaskets, headers, and copper header gaskets after you get tired of replacing the felpros! i know im forgetting something!

Actually I think the 04's were a 5.7 and didn't as make much power as the newer 6.0's. Probably wouldn't take a whole lot, just bolt-on's to get there.

The black one has a shit ton of money, the orange one I pulled 13.27 with about 3 grand.

Why are you eating felpros? What boost are you running? Curious.

i want to run with the ls2 not the 1. so basically its going to cost me a couple grand say i bolt on a turbo or a s/c along with all that stuff where would that put me? an why spintechs i have new eldebrock headers? an i want to be able to run with the goat on street not just strip

I would just do full bolt ons, a tune, and 125 shot. you would probably be a pretty close run with one then.
