How active is the club down there nowadays? How many of you plan on attending the Year One Experience this year again?

Yeah, I think Adam is traveling a lot but still 'into' his truck. I seem to remember him coming up here to VA to pick up something like a hood or tonneau cover while he was in the area for work. I guess him being one of the few, and being out of the area often for a period of time on work duty still makes your statement true - there might not be much of anything left of them. Weren't there more than just a handful of members though?

:finger: Ya speak of the devil and he will show up lol........but yeah the club hasnt had much activity in a long while and I've been too busy during spring and summer building greenhouses. I brought my laptop out on the road a few times but most hotels where we stay either dont have wireless or you get put beside the hotel office. I did pick up Chris Drews Innovation Cover and plan to be back in that area in the next month if any of yall wanna try and get up. Im getting up with Suffolk Mopar and getting his SRT hood while Im there

Pretty close, but here's the skinny.....
Brad parted out his truck to nothing but a shell.....I did sell my truck back in November......Clint had his truck for sale for a long time but took it back off the market while he went through a house move and is now getting ready to put it back up for sale this Spring........Shane sold his Blue R/T back in '07 and bought a black Dak for a build up but that truck was from up north and was a rust bucket so he bought Brad's shell of a truck to build up, and now both of Shane's project trucks are sitting in a barn in Columbus, GA......Brian (Slow R/T) rolled his second R/T on the Dragon.
The economy in late 2008 and 2009 really hit a lot of guys in the club hard and the lack of modding, going to shows, racing, gas prices, etc.. really put a hamper on club activities. In the end, we are still there just in smaller numbers and much less active. It happens, particularly when your club is based around a vehicle that hasn't been produced in seven years.

Like Darren said. The club heads and organizers were Clint, Darren and myself. Me and Darren still talk several times a week and even hook up once in a while. My trucks are in pieces and are several years from getting built, so I just drive around in my old Speed3 beater. Turbos are a blast:drive: to drive especially with the 6 speed, but would much rather have my truck even though it stayed in the garage on any rainy day or when the temp dropped below 68:finger:. I also have a Pontiac G8 which is nice to drive and handles well. I wish my wife would let me put a supercharger on it, but she has had it with superchargers with my old truck:D.
We do still have some guys down here that want to be active, but with the leadership being tied up in other things right now they just kind of post on www.madrt.com when they get the time.
If you guys want to have the NATS down here, I can get you all the info like the contacts and such to make it easy to do it remotely.
I will try to make the Year One experience if they put it on this year. I had the Speed3 out there last time, and would take the G8 out this year. They canceled it last year due to the economy. I hope it happens because it is a blast.
