So I'm getting there, done some reading here, there, manuals. I'm still trying to figure out all of what I'll need. I asked this over at delphi but find the format a bit confusing, I've got a couple ? answered over there already.

Parts listed in sig+

still need valve keepers - mancini

It looks like the felpro head gasket set includes these, so I must need them - valve seals

From mancinis
valve stem 1.92" 4.91"
$21.95 x8

ehx valve 1.625" 4.93"
18.95 x 8

valve springs
$11.95
MOPP5249464

or
Magnum Race Hi - Lift
$9.95
MOP-P4876062

Any one know the part # or a good place to get .600 springs?

Hydraulic Roller Tappets - 5.2L/5.9L Truck Magnum/Jeep Engines
Set of 16
(5.2L/5.9L Truck Magnum/Jeep® Engines, Magnum Crate)
$124.95
MOP-P5249862
These are mopar performance right? better than stock?

I don't know what length pushrods I'll need yet I'll have to measure, I've got the KCR 210 cam, and crower 1.7 rockers 5500rpm w/ out guideplates.

Flex plate - stock
silicone rebuilt harmonic balancer - $90
Have decided against under drive pulley
might still do efan
cam removal tool, degree wheel and dial indicator from summit
valve cover gaskets and bolts
Head gaskets and ARP head bolts - Summit
cap and rotor - thought I found an MSD for 5.9 but now uncertain
plugs NGK copper $24
Taylor wires - might be getting
air K&N air cleaner, + offset base and extreme lid $130
Jet 180 tstat $10
bosch water pump $56
water pump bypass hose #53008654
new rad lid - need to remove rad and flush w/ boiling water
valve covers - ebay or clean up stockers - Really don't want to spend over $100
new serpentine belt? maybe not $45
K&N crank case breather $18
Shackles for Tbar crank
chrome dipstick $5.50
oil filler cap $5

Thoughts? thanks for input.

Get all from Mancini, and don't buy used springs. I have some used .600 springs that came on a pair of used R/T heads..But I won't sell em, I don't know their history.

Have you checked EBAG for valve covers yet?

The stokers will work, you just need to smash the baffles flat for the 1.7 Rockers.

I have a Pic of the Taylor Spiro Pro wires...I hav the blue Seperators too...60 shipped. I'll send the pic, check your PM.

Cam Removal Tool? Correct me if I am wrong, but you can pull it out by hand.

Do you want to borrow or buy the tools from me? I have everything you need, including a piston stop. Willing to ship everything to you for shipping and you just send it back to me. I did that for someone already.

Thanks, I'll get those ordered.

Checked ebay for valve covers, lots of choices for LA heads, but if I'm going to pay that much I might as well go w/ 10 bolt, it's just all costing so much.

Sal Yeah it can be pulled out by hand, I've been told the tool might be good to keep from damaging the removed and installed one going in.

Wow! Thanks for the offer, I might have to take you up on that. I don't imagine I'll have much use for some of these tools once it's assembled.

It's the cam bearings you have to watch out for...

Take your time, don't jerk it out. A long bolt with the same thread pattern will work...Or use your oil pump drive shaft, it's not threaded, but it works, and should be close by.

Amazing how the $$$.$$ all adds up huh?

Thanks for all the part numbers, clears things up alot for me, but I should have asked before. You listed them because I need all of these, right? The felpro head gasket set comes w/ valve seals, should I get these instead and get just the head gaskets by them selves? Thanks for all of you help so far. I'll finish getting orders done today and this week.

I'm looking at these valve covers, I've seen them before and haven't come across a better price for what looks like quality parts.

Get retainers from summit if you havent ordered them already. They will beat any price. I paid 7.00 each for mine from summit when I gave them this website to price match and then they took an additional .50 off each spring.

I paid 7.00 each not 8.00. Theres a link in my post showing 7.50 each and summit took an additional .50 off so thats 7.00 each compared to mancini's 9.95 so :rtfm:  That would have saved him 48.00 price matching through summit. Shipping wouldnt have been 48.00 for ground. Shipping was extremely low for me since I live close to the Georgia warehouse.

If I would have gotten summit to match these prices then I would have been the man. Scroll down til you see part number MPP-P4452032. They want 5.95 each for theirs. When I told summit they called the company and the company told them that they havent updated their system in years. http://hensleyperformance.com/index.php?type=2&page=31

Got PPH headers from ddrango, remflex header gasket, TB and Crower rockers from NWRT360, LA valve covers from moparproshop.com,

I'll be using grade 8 bolts from the hardware store for the intake manifold, valve covers, and headers.

Flex plate - stock - haven't found the best place to get one yet.

silicone rebuilt harmonic balancer - $90

might still do efan from pick-n-pull

I'm sure you can find a stock 01+ e-fan for relatively cheap. Around here it doesn't get terribly hot and since you're using SCT you'll be able to kick on the e-fan relatively soon. You shouldn't have any temperature issues even with a stock e-fan and 195 thermostat so keep that in mind if you'd like to save some coin for sure. And I never got a PM from you about the injector o-rings so if you tried to send it maybe send it again? Or if you don't need them that's fine too, I just saw that you said you sent me a PM in your other thread but I never actually got one so I'm letting you know. I'll be down here in Norfolk on Sunday with my truck and can bring them with me if you still need them.

I think I sent an email to the one in your profile, I'll send a PM now. My 99 doesn't have an efan so I don't think SCT will control an aftermarket one. I'm going to look for a taurus efan at pik-n-pull.

The inside diameter of our bypass hose is .94" I dont see one that small on that link. I would just put a regular hose there. You cant see it with the bracket and a/c compressor on. It covers it up.

Edit: Actually the 1.1" would work if it wasnt a 90 degree. Ours are more like a 45 degree. Or atleast mine is. Id hate for you to get a 90 degree and it being kinked when you put it on. See if they have a 45 degree 1.1" This is more like what you need. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-1-28mm-45-elbow-Silicone-radiator-Hose-civic-integra_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3efbf7b0b7QQite mZ270515286199QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5f Accessories

Yeah, I was just thinking silicone would last longer, as I don't ever want to have to remove all this stuff to replace it once it's together. I think I've seen gates, dayco, and a couple others from like $3 to $12.

After removing the water pump bolts off the old engine a few days the other day (those were nasty!), I'm thinking more about getting one of these kits, just to have all the bolts in one place. I went to a hardware store the other night to get header bolts to hold the gasket for gasket matching. .79c ea for gr8 1" bolts. This is looking more like a bargain.

I'm going to order this one, about the same price as rubber, but it's silicone made for sb mopar. It looks like this place mostly sells stuff for LA small blocks, any one know if it'll work?

I did a search on advance using an older LA motor and came up w/ a slightly different bypass hose.

Get retainers from summit if you havent ordered them already. They will beat any price. I paid 7.00 each for mine from summit when I gave them this website to price match and then they took an additional .50 off each spring.

If you cut a half inch off at a time off the bottom of the hose then it should line up nicely.

the problem with that is that that tube is thinner.

Better check twice. The accessory bracket sits close to it even under the best of circumstances.

Same here. I had to cut a little off at the top and the same amount off the bottom and it fits just fine.

That just seems wrong that they're selling the wrong hose and we just have to cut it to fit. I can't imagine some one struggling through installing this w/ the bracket in place above it, and then not fitting right! I checked napa, theirs is the same, Bfranzel, where'd you get yours?

I bought mine from Advance, it fit perfect no cutting. Bought one for my father in laws 3.9 truck from there also it worked fine also.

If you dont want to cut the hose then go to the dealer. When you buy hoses from auto parts stores they are made for different applications. Thats why you have to cut them. Hell that hose that you buy for your truck might fit a honda too.

The only way to replace that hose without removing bracket would be to take water pump off. Easier to take the bracket off. And you wont lose as much coolant.

So I went ahead and cut a 1/4" off each end. Looked great till I tightened the clamps down, then it put a slight bend in it, better than before, the a/c bracket is in place now.

Thats what happened to mine too but works just fine. Ride it like it is.:rockwoot:

I got this coil from a members fs/ft thread, but the plug on the bottom doesn't match up to what I have. Can I replace the plug, or do I have to use my stock coil?

Thats for the EGR valve on your intake and you can buy an adapter harness for the coil I believe.

So do I block off the EGR? I thought it was non egr, guess I was told wrong by the seller.

So any part store would have the adapter?

Take off your throttle body, directly below you will see the hole for the EGR crap.
If it has a bolt in it someone has already blocked it off for you. If it doesn't you just have to plug it there.

As far as the adapter for the msd coil I have no idea.

That one is for Accel coils but judging by your picture I would assume it works for MSD coils as well.

I'm feeling like this is turning into a M1 what's this thread. I know I saw a powerpoint a few months back and thought I even saved it, but no joy.

My stock kegger had a sensor w/ this plug the same as the one just above the tstat.

The M1 came w/ an extra one in the same spot w/ only one lead. Is it an extra for the fan?
