Ok, I am going to see if there is any market for this. I got an idea to modify a passenger side fuel rail to run a regulated return fuel system and to draw fuel for my nitrous. If anyone wants me to modify their fuel rail, I will only charge you $20 plus shipping. If you want one that is already modified, it will be the $20 plus whatever it costs me to pull one at the junk yard.

The modification allows you to thread any 1/16" NPT, 1/8" NPT, or 1/4" NPT fitting into the end of the rail. It is all TIG welded in place and pressure tested for leaks. I currently run this setup on my truck right now and it works great.

I am not looking to make any money, I am a fabricator and enjoy making my own stuff. The $20 is just to cover the materials used (steel, filler rod, tungsten, C25).

Post some pics. I need some fuel rails for my motor build...

I've got rails from a '92 5.2 that run a return line with a vacuum operated regulator .... May be a good starting point for this?
Haven't figured out exactly how the regulator functions yet, maybe someone here knows?

Post up picks of you work. I won't be able to use the rear crossover on my stock rails with the blower set up I'm fabbing, need something with braided cross over in the front, so it can swivel down, over and back up, under the blower snout.

I was going to machine my own rails from -8an extrusions, but it would be cheaper fitting wise to re-use stockers with mods and make new hold downs for them.

I will get some pics this weekend for everyone. If you can post some pics of your blower set up, I could get a better understanding of what you need. I would love the opportunity to work with you on the design.

Haven't figured out exactly how the regulator functions yet, maybe someone here knows? I am not sure if the rails are interchangable. And as far as the regulator goes, I prefer running an aftermarket adjustable style. This allows you to fine tune the pressure and gives you room for expansion and bigger power numbers.

Thanks for the support everyone!

The '92 rails are a direct fit; 3/8 feed, 5/16 return line.

Well, It has been a little while since I updated this but I have 3 sets ready to go. There are a few options as follows:

1. Modified rails, Bare steel (blasted) $20 + Shipping

2. Modified rails, Painted $30 + Shipping

3. Modified rails, Powder coated $40 + Shipping

As far as colors of paint/powder go:

Paint - Any color you can think of (literally).

Powder - Black (gloss and semi), Silver, White, and Yellow.

I also have a couple sets of the older factory return style rails as well. I will be getting pictures up this week for everyone to see.

I apologize for the delay with these, but I have been working on several projects at one time. Keep your eyes on the forum in the next few months. I have a couple billet throttle body designs and billet fuel rail designs I have been working on. The TB should be ready for testing by late March to early April depending on how things go. Billet rails will be about 2-3 months after the TB.

This is just for example and from a while ago. The blower will sit higher than it is shown in this picture.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/black99rt/railfitment.jpg

I need a cross over to with 90* swivel ends so that it can go undernearth the snout and back up to the other side. There will be no A/C so no worries about compressor clearance on that one fitting.

I was hoping you would get a drawing up. That is pretty much what I had invisioned in my head. You want to go ahead and eliminate the rear crossover, correct? I'll get the stockers made up for you now and in a couple months I will be starting on my billet rail design.

I got some pictures of the finished rails. Only problem is that they are satin black and you cannot see them very well. I am sraying them silver tomorrow and will take some more pics so yall can see something other than a black log.

Yeh the rear cross has to be removed because of the blower inlet. Stock feed, front crossover, mounting tabs removed. I'll have to make new mounts for the rails as the blower is moving them out a bit, and the injectors will now be vertical. Just to clarify I am planning on keeping my return fuel system for now. What is the largest fitting we can go with on the cross over? I should be making some decent power down the road and don't want to starve the passenger bank.

I'll have to use NPT to AN adapter then a 90* swivel and braided hose for this set up right?

I have a set of stockers I can send your way for a core.

Yes, you have the right idea in mind. If you dont mind sending me the cores and I'll get started on yours. I was thinking -8 or -10 I'll have to double check the fittings. I'll pm you with my info.

if your going to make some billet fuel rails soon, lemme know. I would definatly be interested in a set for my truck. I would like some billet ones as opposed to modified stockers. That would be awesome

$10 per foot:

i bet you could take them to a machinist with your stockers for measurments. would be extremely cost effective i bet.

Me too. HAHAHA Im going to order up 6 feet of it to make up 4 rails. Figure I can keep 2 for me, and then sell the other 2. I am ordering 2 of the 3 foot sections tho, cause im not sure on the exact length of our OEM rails. I figure 17 inches max should cover it quite well. Dual inlet fuel rail at the back of the motor, then balance it at the front, and on the pass side put in a T AN fitting in there over to an AFPR and return back from there. I think that should flow nicely and keep my fuel nice a cool with a Cooler log on the frame rail.

Been running behind on the billet designs. I was surprised by how many local requests I had for the modified factory rails. I put the billet stuff on hold and will be focusing on getting orders filled for the modified rails. I came down with Pneumonia a while back and that really put a halt on things and now Iam trying to play catch up. I will keep the thread updated as I move forward.

Just an update on everything, Currently I am running 2 weeks out on modified factory rails. I have put the billet throttle body on the back burner so I can keep up with the fuel rails. IF anyone wants any rails, just post up here or PM me. Keep an eye open around November/December for a few billet rail designs. Anyone interested in testing a set of billet rails; please contact me.
