I finally got my D1SC Procharger installed. I have to get it tuned before I can do much driving, but it is up and running, but I am waiting on a throttle body gasket from my recent F&B 58mm throttle body purchase also.

Anyway, here is a teaser pic of the install. Here is the headunit that I polished myself, intercooler, and intercooler piping and bracket that I had powder coated laying out ready to go on.

Ok, here are more pics! Sorry for the quality of some, but my camera did not like the lighting in my garage. It couldn't decide if it wanted to focus or use the flash.

Here is what it looked like when I started.

With the hot air intake and tensioner removed.

Main bracket attached to the head. I know the wiring needs to be cleaned up, but it was that way when I got the truck. I did clean it up some while I was working on it.

Got all my piping loose fit, injectors in, and throttle body adapter massaged for the 58mm throttle body.

The difference in the (what I was told) 52mm fastman throttle body that came on my truck, and the F&B 58mm throttle body.

Completed, but too cold and snowy outside to get a better picture.

Intercooler and piping. I guess there goes my sleeper approach LOL.

Nothing major, but my truck is an 03, and I don't think it was designed for an 03, so a few small things came up. The A/C lines needed to be slightly bent to clear the belt (no big deal, just grab it and bend it out of the way), the cruise control unit and cable had to be moved (again no big deal), and I had to use the filter inlet pipe from a 94-95 Mustang Procharger kit to mount my filter to the supercharger (that was due to the fact that my computer bracket was in the way, and I didn't have the relocation kit that comes with the Procharger, so I just used the custom bracket that the previous owner made), and the last bit of piping that attaches to the airhat is a pain.

looks bad ass, just got mine back from polishing the bracket, unit and air hat, trying to decide if i want to polish the intercooler or if it would be a waste being so low and all and powdercoating or polishing the intercooler pipes, do you have any pics of just the bracket installed from the front like standing behind the rad?, looks awsome cant wait to get started on mine, how long did your install take?

Man, ....I would hate that intake being there right over the header.

Only dislikes is the filter above the header, and the intercooler scares me how low it is. Other than that welcome to the club of going broke fast!

has anyone ever tryed mounting the intercooler in any other spots, though about rite behind the lower section of the bumper where the holes are but dont think it would fit....

I did not hook up the supplied fuel pump or DFMU, since I am using an intank pump, SCT, and 2-bar MAP to tune, so that shortened the time it took to install, but I did other things at the same time, such as cleaning up some of the wiring mess, soldering wires that were just tied together, hooking up MAP, etc... The time I spent just on the Procharger part of it was probably 4-5 hours, but I have installed another Procharger onto a Mustang that I had, so this was not my first time doing it.

Mounting the intercooler in a different place would be difficult on my truck. It would be easier on a 97-99 since the radiator is slightly different. On a 97-99, someone could probably remove the clutch fan, install a narrow elec fan, move the radiator back toward the engine atleast an inch, remove the A/C condensor, and mount an intercooler in front of the radiator.

The position of the air filter is not that big of a deal IMO because of when the truck is moving, the air above the header should not be much hotter than somewhere else under the hood. I will probably get a power pipe for a Mustang that will be a much bigger filter and move it up around the airhat, so that maybe some air from the cowl opening might bring some fresh air to it.
