how much torque can i put on the nuts to take them off? I tried a 1/2 impact with 150psi behind it and it didnt budge. I can put a breaker bar on it but i dont want to snap it. Also I tried to take out my shock and the bottom bolts came out no problem. When i put a socket on the top nut the shaft of the shock spins?

You turning it the right way?! LOL It shouldn't have been too difficult to pop them loose. On the shocks, it usually helps to leave the bottom bolts in, put some pressure on the lower control arm. If not, use some vice grips at the very top of the shaft. Or break it! LOL

the weight needs to be resting on the shock for you to loosen the top bolt

when i changed mine all it took was some grips and a wrench and a lil patience. but when you get to the top you may have to hold the shaft with your fingers when you cant keep the grips on the top of the bolt
