I have everything ready to go just waiting for the new U-bolts to come in and bolt it all up. Another 20 min of work and she will be ready for the strip. Taking out the passenger seat, back seat, everything in my console. Not much else I can strip off after that. That should be about 75lbs though.

My 98 passenger side non power seat only weighs 17 pounds.

Yea I got a leather one, maybe a couple more lbs. Easy enough to take out.

True, what else can I take off? Not going to crazy with panels and what not.

Spare tire, and OEM jack. If you were to take panels off you are already halfway there with the back seat out. Get the side panels in the cc portion out far enough to remove the rear seatbelt shoulder harnesses. Again its only acouple pounds here and there. LOL Don't end up like me getting ready to yank a dash out to rip all HVAC stuff on the truck for weight reduction.

Tools and spare are gone. Panels might come out later anyway. No room in the garage now.

Depending on traction, the tailgate is heavy. Also the front sway bar and rear bumper, I have a rollpan. Always the heavy ass spare and the tools too, Thats the easy stuff, then if you put your mind to it Im sure there are a lot of things that dont weigh much but combined add up to quite a bit.

I am running slicks, taking the tailgate off. Don't run sway bars and I have a roll pan. Tools and spare are off. :woot:

Not going that far. I am sure 10's are there with full weight anyway.
Ran that 11.42 with tools, passenger seat, and tailgate.
Since then I have added Caltracs, no tailgate, no passenger seat, larger crank blower pulley 8.25, Reichard racing 3.5 pulley (probably good for 2psi) and GOOOD weather.

Done, even the hangers for the rear sway bars are gone.

Not sure if the 2000 and up are set up the same, but I removed the outer support brackets for the front bumper on my '99.

I took off the spare tire winch, back seat panel, large portion of the back seat, and the front seat. I think that is about as good as its going to get.

When I ran a 15.2 bone ass stock, I took out everthing inside that wasn't bolted down, the spare, jack, tools, shit from the center console... everything. Didn't weigh it, but maybe 75 lbs all together?

Yea I am not sure about thatI was hesitant at first, but I guess it's better than a fiberglass bumper. I figure if the accident is bad enough, the truck would be totalled anyway. I don't see it protecting me much.
