Phoenix and Vegas are kinda similar. We have more illegal aliens running around but the roads are better. All of the gambling is on the outskirts of town in the indian casinos - but we have 2 drag strips and a Nascar track.

I think the UV is worse here...Great huh...?
DA sucks for racing, and UV will kill you. I've had a few spots burned off my hands and face, but I'm outside most of the time when I'm building.

Look for the guy being escorted out of the track for throwing beer cans at Jimmy Johnson...

Edit: Couple years ago the camera guys were roaming the seats during practice on Saturday....Sunday morning I was watching Speedvision before we left the motel room and they showed a woman leaning back against the fence looking good, enjoying the show....

Damn....It was my wife!!!

My brother was stationed there for a while, and he loved it. It gets hot as hell, but there's no humidity, so its not too bad. Plus, cost of living is pretty low, he rented a nice, new, BIG house for 1200 a month, and utilities were cheap

Ah man that royally sucks, the aviation industry took a huge hit in this recession. But let me tell you, i worked at an FBO for 3 years and a flight school for 1 year and i learned alot...

my biggest tip for you is that you dont NEED to go through a school to learn to do flight training. I watched independent flight instructors at my local FBO take 0 time pilots and get them through their ratings faster, safer, and cheaper than any of our local schools... and they all enjoyed it alot more. Come to san diego where you can flight train about 300 days a year and save some money... just gotta find a place to live, not hard!
