You and me both. I am planning on doing a TKO in mine (hopefully this coming summer), but I am already dreading the thought of cutting a little whole in the floor. I can't even imagine going to town like this :jester:

That is a work of art sir, and please don't cover up the craftsmanship. The welds and fabrication is sexy... Hmmm if only I had a single cab. Also looking at the front end pictures. It shows how easy it will be for me to cut my inner fenders out.

You still want wheel tubes and some kind of flooring,for two reasons;
1) the open bed will catch a lot of air causing issues on the top end and possible wreck.
2) it will get dirty fast back there being all open.
I'm going with aluminum wheel tubs and flooring along with a sheet aluminum tonneau cover with a piano hinge just after the down bars for acesss.

is that something you would suggest for a roll bar or would it be overkill?

Didn't think about the air....Thanks for all the pics info. Awesome build you've got going on.
My winter plans are installing a CSR water pump and trying to figure out a manual steering rack.

A single-stage enamel (like DuPont Imron) will be about the toughest paint you can get, and will resist chipping pretty good. I would put it on a roll bar, it would hold up pretty good, so the door bar wont look like crap after 2 weeks. It's more expensive than a rattle can, but it lasts. I like to use these door bar hinges in my cages because you can run a higher door bar, and it's easier to get in and out. They are NHRA legal. http://www.cachassisworks.com/iwwidb.pvx?;multi_item_submit?FORM_SELECT=C?CAT_LV L=0?CAT=SIDECLEVIS?COMP=CAC

What he said but I like the push button style clevis pins at A.R.T. I'm gonna order me a set.Also the street trick is with swing out door bars,you just pull them off and hang them on the wall till you go to the track.
They also sell imron(now that I spelled it right) clear coat,I'm thinking about using it on the roll bar so the paint will match the body,prolly gonna go dupont chroma base for the body paint.

DEPUTYBack in the early eighties my Dad had his '69 Camaro painted with Imron (I think they use it on aircraft too). That thing would bounce good size rocks off the paint (happened driving down highway behind tractor trailer) and laught at it. We were going to a car show and when we got there...not a mark. Just have to have a ventilator to shoot it or it'll fuck your nervous system. That means it must be good shit! :biggthumpup:
