What's the cross-reference for the thermostat & thermostat gasket necessary for the M1-4bbl intake manifold? Anyone have a particular brand/part # they can recommend for a 180 degree model?

What's the cross-reference for the thermostat & thermostat gasket necessary for the M1-4bbl intake manifold? Anyone have a particular brand/part # they can recommend for a 180 degree model?

I think they used the LA thermostat on the old style 4bbl M-1,, then they changed to the smaller T-stat on the new 4bbl ...IIRC... Is that right?

I like Robert Shaw T-stats, but don't have part # handy.

newer or older m1? the older 4bbl has to be crossed with a 70s or so big block, far as the gasket i had to make my own. 70mm t-stat
