QA1's are the best, but pricey at $140 a shock. There was just a thread about another adjustable shock shock as well.

The Moparts guys like the Rancho 9 way adjustables with leafs/caltracs setups.

My dads running Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable drag shocks($42 each) all the way around on his r/t. Ill have to get part numbers for you though as theyre not for dakotas. They have the same measurements though.

Hes got both front and rear set on the stiffest, with the truck lowered 2" all the way around and he likes them, he hasnt taken the truck to the track yet to see how they do 60' wise.

Heres the summit part numbers:
Comp Eng- 2600- front
Comp Eng- 2730- rear

Nope. Summit lists them for $100 each. I'd just get QA1's at that price.

Those you have to take off and completely extend before you can change them. Shrek is running them on his truck. You can ask them how he likes them if it ever gets running.

Not trying to thread jack, but has anyone ever used some 90/10 shocks on the front? Or do they even offer a shock like that for the fronts? Dan

I am drooling, whats the conversion kit needed for the QA1's on a hotchkis? Cause I take it I could use the competition engineering ones with that kit? Dan

Shrek is on dak-dur. The only thing that sucks about the Comp Eng shock is you have to take them off and take them to full extension before you can change settings.

*****you'll need this to use this one:

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=HAL%2DSS300LT&N=700+115&autoview=sku

Part Number: HAL-TC1576P
Internal Design: Twin-tube

The hotchkis leafsprings only lower a Dakota R/T 2.5 inches. I would go with the TC2501P, dont forget the eyelet loop conversion in the link. The TC1539P is too long (stock height application) and the TC1576P might be too short depending on your drop.

10 bucks is 10 bucks espically with high gas prices.

Does anyone have any clue what would happen if you ran the qa1's on the front with comp ones on the rear? Do you think it would screw up the set-up or the ride quality? I got qa1s for the front but cant really afford them for the rear to. Any suggestions would be appreciated also. Thanks Brad
