Well, going to go bigger than current (230/236, .590, 114lsa). I'm upgrading to fully worked r/t heads, 4bbl m1, and possibly a 3800-4k Viper stall (working on a deal). Of course I have the 426 and with R/T heads will put me at 10.3:1 CR. Also getting in on 4.56 group buy. And of course will be getting tuned with SCT PRP.

Will NOT be running nitrous for the time being but likely will again in about a year.

I was thinking something like a 24x/24x duration with the same or lower lift, and maybe lowering lsa? Lsa is kind of a mystery to me, would it be helpful for me to goto a lower lsa?

What about duration? Do I need to go even bigger?

TIA,

Ryan

Lloyd is running good #'s with a 245 cam, 108lsa I believe. I'm not real sharp on cams, but you want lower for n/a, you're running a blower cam right now. I need to learn more about cam specs. Always something to learn :)

Contact Scott Brown. He used to work for Straightline Performance, http://www.straightline-perf.com/ , but now works for VT http://www.vtcompetitionengines.com/ There is contact info on both sites. Scott grinds some awesome cams for the Moparts crowd.

I once had some Straightline Perf. pushrods, hadn't heard of them before. But I've kinda already asked my parts guy about a cam so would be a real asshole thing to go weith another vendor now.

Dave, reckon you could get Lloyd to post up in here? Maybe he could 'splain that LSA to us. :)

I'm gonna get a Comp custom ground. WHat kinda times you pullin with that cam? Is way too smal for my 426 I reckon, heh.

i figure with my current mods and a 3200 rpm stall and a 150 shot i should be in 11 sec range

why do you need them

To offer cam advice :)

Lloyd is running a 245 cam in his 408, and Danno's always a good source for info.

Nope, questioning my future combo, more precisely as to the cam that goes in it. :)

Ryan true a larger displacement motor can take more cam..LLoyds 245 on 108 lobe centers,, we couldn't of got to run in our trucks a few years ago..He might have some sort of computer help,,I don't know..One thing I do know is these trucks like lots of lift,,I'm currently running about .640 lift 220X230 at.50 on 112 lsa and this throws codes all the time..Decide excatly what you are going to do with the new motor how much driveability you can sacrifice and tell your builder..If he has contacts with comp cams or any other grinder they will give you recomendations on what to run..
