Lost In Front Coils !

Hi Guys,
Are Spring rates that touchy up front ? I have an '01 Dak cc
that rode great on stock '01 coils, put in a set of '99 coils and
it rides like a 3/4 ton Cornbinder ! How about aftermarket drop
coils, do you guys have good luck with them ? ride, etc.

Why did you put the '99 coils in?

I believe there are different spring rates for different cab configurations and engines. A 5.9L is going to weigh more than a 3.9 v6, so the springs need to be stiffer to accomodate the extra weight.

Might want to find out for sure where the '99 springs came from.

The truck had been lowered incorrectly, so I got a set of '99 Dak CC 5.9
Coils to combine with 2" control arms. It rides horrible !! The stock springs
had tags with the correct numbers, they rode great ! The '99s had no tags.
I had no Idea there were so many different part numbers over the years.
