well, i have $5000 to spend on my engine, kind of a hard question but whats the best setup i cant with this budget? opnions? my truck is going to be mostly a weekend driver soon, so i wanna get the most out of it. i already have 4:56s,built tranny, and some traction bars.(later gonna be a 4 link), so itstimeto have some fun with my engine

Here's what I'd do:
Eddy heads - $1500
Cam - $300
Rockers - $300
4bbl M1 - $250
55mm F&B tb - $450
Spintech headers - $650
Spintech dual exhaust - $800
Nitrous kit - $600
I think that's around $5k. Of course these prices are estimates, I haven't shopped for these parts recently, so I could be off. And of course you can save money by shopping around and picking up some of this stuff used. This is also assuming you're doing all the work yourself. If you're paying someone else to do it then most of your money is going to go towards labor.
There is the question of tuning. Personally I'd like to see a big cam and tune it with the SCT software, but that would probably push you over your budget. And then I didn't put slicks on the list, which you'll need to get this power to the ground. I'd also want some porting on the Eddys, but again that'll depend on what you can afford. Then add some costs for various gaskets and fluids. But at least it gives you an idea.
What stall do you have?

this is just a ball park price. ill be able to tune it and put slicks on it all at the same time, no big issue. and eventually goin to be puttin a supercharger on it as well

Well if you know you're definitely doing a supercharger, then that will change your cam choice a lil bit. You'll want something with a 112-114lsa. It will also depend on what you're doing for tuning. If you're gonna go with SCT, then I'd go a lil bigger on the cam, maybe a 236ish deal. If you're gonna be running it on a pcm flash, maybe 218-220ish?
And if you're doing a blower, I'd go bigger on the tb 58mm, and 3" duals. :biggthumpup:
I'd talk to Todd (whitert on here) about his new Vortech setup, I'd go that route with the SCT for tuning.

also, the blower wont be goin on for a while. the post baout the cams was kind of confusing. which one would be best for that setup, without the blower

Talk to Sean (hemifever on here), I forget his website, but you can find him on the member list and send him a pm. He's a distributor and tuner for SCT.
If you're going to be n/a for a while, and you're gonna go with the SCT, then you can get a lil wilder on the cam if you want, 110 or 108lsa.

Nah, with the supercharger you're going to need tunability, might as well start with it now, instead of spending money twice.
