Looks like I now own 3 vehicles and none of them run! LOL
Latest victim is my R/T, which given the compression test, coolant in the oil, and white smoke out the exhaust, it looks like my head gaskets are goners. After I got off the freeway and into town, I accelerated slowly and white smoke came out the exhaust. At first it was just coming off idle and accelerating, but once I was messing with it in my parking lot, it started smoking on just idle.
Just what I needed this time of year :jerkit:

Sorry to hear it bro. At least headgaskets are a pretty easy fix. Hope you get her back on the road soon.
Isn't your truck n/a? Just wondering how you blew a headgasket. I know it's possible, just not too common you see 'em go on n/a setups.

we're wondering that ourselves... with it in the parking lot at his appartment, we were kinda limited as to what we could check.. compression test on cyl 1 and 3 were low, and would drop pressure over time.. he said mechanically it was running sound. when i put a plug in number 3 and did the comp test on number 1 it dropped a little and held pressure. (tells me it could be blown between the two of em..)
he was low on number 8 too, so wonder if that side was going too.
i didn't have any oil with me to wet test it, but there is absolutely no reason the valves/piston rings would have suddenly decided to take a shit..
once he gets the new gaskets we gonna have RLG Tow Service hook it up and get it over to the crib...:angrywife:

N/A and never has had nitrous run through it. The only guesstimate I have of what happened was improper torque-age on initial install by the fatsman and it took a long time for it to show, or the ported stock heads decided to warp after 12K miles. Who knows until I get gaskets and we tear it apart.
I was driving the thing like a fuckin' pussy too trying to get better mpg. Just my luck I guess :irule:

Chillin chillin. Been working on the honda's, yes honda's. I've got two EF's and a sweat DD EG. Also outside in the driveway you will find an EF shell and a 85' prelude. A little crazy now...:drive:
All this on top of the truck and my 88 GT. Drove the GT to work this morning. Sitting on new rims 03 cobra replicas. and the truck sits in hybernation down at my warehouse with the battery tender on it. Can't wait to take her out to the meet this year. Back to the starting place. I wonder how many people remember that meet. :goodluck: hope everyone else is doing good. Dave where u at on the build?
sorry for the novel:D

Na, I will never forget about the truck. Its going to get a major overhaul one of these days. Probably after the nats this year. Haven't decided on a new set-up though. I figure after 143,000 miles it, it's due for a good cleaning and a heart transplant. She been on a few road trips since birth. :drive:
