Low 15's to high 14's. The throttle body spacer is useless and just adds weight.:jester:

Lose that and get a better TB.

I'll guess 14.90. After the mods, I'd guess 14.80, because the FIPK is probably the only mod listed that will help you out any.
The shorty headers are equal to the factory manifolds IMO. The real restriction in the exhaust would be in the y pipe and cat converter. That and the size of the pipes themselves.
The t/b spacer will make a nice little whistle, but other than reducing the amount of hood clearance you have, it won't be good for anything else.

There is also, www.socaldakota.com , southeastrt, krc performance, Summit...etc

That's what we're here for, to spend other peoples hard on money! :jester:

That truck with those mods in Texas would run a low 15 at best. What the hell.

Must be something in the water. I ran a 14.9 with a k&n filter with my old 01 cc.

Must be, took me headers, exhaust, M1, and superchips to run 14.9. Just ordered aq 52mm tb, so hoping to go a little faster next time out. Running a ported stocker right now.

It's not you, it IS tough to run a good time here, especially at the Motorplex. If you want good e.t.'s in Texas, go down to Houston, or over to Rusk.

what would be a good throttle body for a mildly modified R/T. lets says heads, cam, intake, full exhaust with shorty headers(soon to be long tube), mopar pcm, intake manifold

I been chatting with him off and on. I think he had it heat soaked and was definitely not launching it correctly.

i would go with the 52mm f/b. there's one on ebay right now.. search dakota r/t... i think the bids at 250. if it stays under 350/375- id call that a deal.

So is 15.761 good for an 03 cc with only flowmasters on? I just bought the truck about a month ago.

I just ran it tonight and got that @ 88.23mph

BTLFED R/T
05-29-2008, 03:55 AM
For only having mufflers that's about normal. My RC when bone stock only went a 15.8 first time out. Weather factors in alot. It's not great, but there has certainly been worse. It'll get better!

DakRat33
05-29-2008, 05:01 AM
ah, ok...I thought it would do better than that

My 01 Ranger did better w/intake, exhaust, gears, but no tune, and it was a 4.0 V6....hmm

without getting into the internals, just bolts ons (M1 intake, 52mm tb, K&N, longtubes, duals, underdrive pulley), what might it run? and this would be w/out changing the tires (Toyos @ this time)

BTLFED R/T

Should run at least low 14s, possibly high 13s.

also once you get those mods done you will probably need to get the computer retuned. I had shorty headers with true duals, m1 2bbl, 52mm fastman tb, 1.7rr, cai, drag radials and i ran a 14.2 @96mph

DakRat33
05-29-2008, 05:30 AM
yeah I figured about the tune...I did that too on my old truck and got 14.9 out of it...on street tires

At sea level? Best passes I got from my 99 CC, full weight, bone stock with RSAs were 15.2@88. Backed it up 3 times on the same day.

I don't know the altitude of Sacramento Raceway. Maybe 120 ft. Maybe less. Not sure

But we'll see what else I can do when I get more done
