i have a stock 2001 Dakota rt with 275 50 17 on the rims when i bought it, the tires are to short and leave a big gap. what size tires should i get to fill the gap and wont RUB. u can see what i mean by looking at my avatar. sorry i placed it in the wrong forum

are you saying you're selling your truck if you can't find tires that don't rub?
.... in all seriousness... 255/55/17 (stock size) and 275/50/17 are the same height of 28", the 275's are just wider.
i'm not sure if taller is your answer.. maybe look into a lowering it to take some of that gap out.

275/55/17's fit fine on a stock hieght truck. i am running those now with no problems. it does fill out the gap a little more than what you have, but i still want to lower it alittle. i think i can lower it 1" in the front and still have room with these tires.
