Y Pipe

I am redoing my exhaust and i wanted a different y pipe something more performance, and i also going with a performance cat. Any suggestions? I want my truck to be pretty loud.

summit has the gibson y but its made for a 99 so you will have to move the o2 bungs. if i remember right its like 125bux.

lol. you know its so small i never thought to mesure it. put it in the garbage as fast as i could. where it bends to cross under the truck its very small.

lol alright, what y pipe did you go with? the ones that are one summit are 2" isnt that a little too small aslo, i was going to go with a 3" all the way, is that too big?

i had a custom y but it rusted out so i have the summit jba one now, as custom ones are expensive. im sure the one i had flowed a little better as the exit was 3" but its my daily driver now so im not too concerned.

the jba is fine with bolt ons. anything is better than what is on there, but if you feel like paying for it the custom 3" will be better.

I believe the stock Y is supposed to be 2". Most Y pipes are 2.5", and you can run 3" from there back.

I have a used Kenne Bell Y-pipe for a 2000.... It's made for mid-length headers, with 2 1/2" 3 bolt flanges on the header side and a single 3" 3 bolt flange on the exhaust side.. Already has 3 bung holes in it.

ok so now, is there anyone who makes a 3'' y pipe that bolts up to shorty headers. All i have found was the JBA Y pipe but it is only 2'', and i know bassani makes one but it come with a cat, and also costs about $350

Ed's is for Mid length headers. With your Gibsons you need a stock replacement Y. ( stock meaning stock length with a ball joint collector) the jba one should work.

I cant seem to find a y pipe setup for a 99 that has the o2 bungs. I looked at summit they had jba listed but it said that they did not come with o2 bungs. I treid basani and they didnt have anything for the 99 dakota.
