My friend bought a Chevy diesel and it came with a chip, intake and exhaust. He took it to the track and ran a best of 15.2 at 92mph. His chip has 3 power levels and he said he would only need level 1 to beat my stock RT. I can't run from a dig due to bald tires, what chance would I have from a roll? I need to shut him up!!

if you are stock he may have you. But with some simple bolt ons you would have a pretty decent chance.

For the $500 you spend on the nitrous, he'll just turn the chip one more time and you're back to square one. That's the fun of owning one of those behemoths! Everyone looks at that big ol' truck spewing black smoke and thinks "SLOW". I love reeling in unsupecting victims with ours! It's an '02 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke. Now I'm not saying it's fast, but it's surprised more people than not. Some are fast, there's diesels out there running in the 12's that are 4X4 and crew or ex cabs. BEWARE

no it wont. adding 100 shot to a dakota will make it scoot. adding 100 more hp to a big heavy ass duramax wont help as much. he will still smoke the duramax.
all my friends have desils and they think they are hot shit. one powerstroke has an aftermarket big turbo, injector mods, 140hp chip, suncost built trans, and a shitload of other stuff. they lined up to race in front of me at a stop light once and i passed em both on a 2 lane road. lol. they were pissed. they spent god knows how much, probably 80k including truck and i have less than 30k including truck when it was brand new invested in this truck and blew them away. they don't talk shit anymore.

? I said if he had a 100 shot on a stock dak r/t will smoke a normal modded duramax (chip, exhaust, shift kit, ect...). unless its a 2wd and built to hell he can do all the minor mods he wants he'll still lose to the r/t. most people OVER RATE diesel trucks because of the 4wd launch they get on the street. go to the track and there are very few that run past the high 13s in street config. I'm not saying theres not faster ones out there but not that you run into everyday driven on the street. even with propane injection.
i know all he has is a filter charger kit in his mods but we are saying if he had a 100 shot. i fail to see where i didn't cover what he has on his ride?
i know a thing or two about diesel trucks. one of my friends is a shop owner of No Limit diesel performance, a shop that has a diesel shop truck that runs in the 10s they also use for pulling in the 2wd class.

I know what they run, I've seen a 2wd rc long bed run a 9! But that was way more than what your friend has. He can turn that chip all the way up and won't be able to touch a R/T on a 100 shot. Traction needed though! LOL

I am really happy with how my truck did. We did a roll from 30 and one from 50, we ended up nose to nose both times:burnout: My truck has 100k miles on it and he still couldn't beat me.
