I'm looking about buying a viper hood and ram air box for the r/t . found this company called extreme composites out of Rockdale TX the hood looks good on their web but never heard of them . I have dealt with fiberglass companies before .My pro street dart gts has whole fiberglass front end and trunk lid and rear bumper, but when we got the stuff you couldnt just prime and paint, we hads to do some mods , you'd never know it . Trying to stay away from too much prep. Any info on this or another company would be great. Thank Rick

never heard of that company, but here's (http://www.fiberglass-hoods.com/dodge-dakota-durango-SRT-style-hood.shtml) a website for the Moore hood that everybody likes

I have not ordered anything from them but last year I found that company. I just have not had the money to get a hood yet. I believe that some one ordered the ram air box from them after I posted the site.

Jonas Janek from Elite Motorsports/Premier Automotive contracted two companies to make the GTS Hood - Extreme Composites out of TX, and Rally Tops out of UT. IIRC Extreme Composites was the first company he used, and because of production issues they moved on to the 2nd company. Extreme Composites has continued to advertise the hood since then, but I don't know of anyone who has bought one directly from them.

There's a guy in my local club that has one of those hoods. It looks very nice but the fiberglass is very thick on there and the hood is heavy for fiberglass. Here are some pictures:

It would be nice to have it alittle heavy though. Extra insurance that it is not going to crack. Also you might be able to use the stock hood springs.
