Before it's asked, here's a little info on the delay...
So last year the quote's for track rental at Reno-Fernley were given to us. It was a great price for drag + auto-x.
As soon as January hit (and a little before), I've been contacting the only person at Reno-Fern that does the schedule. Yet i was told he has to check with the president of operations or someone above him. Around February/March is when I FINALLY got the 2009 prices. They went up greatly from what we were quoted in 2008.
I decided to stick with the rental for the drag strip, and pass on auto-x and join the scca instead. Well, Reno-Fernley had some issues with insurance in 2008...althought the drag strip price only went up to $2k for rental..it jumped to 4,500 with added insurance and reno-fernley workers/fees.
So that was the first bind. I then contacted Jeremy (left messages, cell phone, with secretary, emails etc) to see if we could piggyback onto a TNT instead... to shorten the story as much as possible...i finally got my answer in may that they wern't going to be doing TNT's.
So plan B... Go piggyback onto Top Gun Raceway's event

Just as I was ready to announce the date, I found out they decided to lease the track to another company. So for the past month or more, I have been trying to get Reno and Infinate Racing to add a date for us in October and offered to pay $1,800 towards the $2200 rental.

Finally found out yesterday, that the guy from Infinate didn't think it was feasible for him to do so. I could have been told that a month ago before Jeremy at Reno, or Jay at infinate were on vacations.
So I'm a little pissed, and upset this event wasn't posted back in march/april. I was rwally hoping to have some truck/mopar magazines publish our date ahead of time.

And to add to the drama... The Reno-Stead airport, where Reno-SCCA does most of their races, is under construction. So the scca is finding new locations. They had a date at reno for the 17-18th, but were pushed aside for a larger group. They are relocating with the help of reno, and it might end up at reno-stead airport.

Not sure if you have anything lined up for making the t-shirts, but my wife's uncle has his own t-shirt business now and could probably get you a decent deal. Oh and he can do stickers, magnets, and other stuff like that as well. He lives in Fresno.

A torque strap costs about $10 at the Home Depot, or Lowes hardware section.
