How critical is it to have the desired constant fuel pressure to the rails upon startup?
I now have a return fuel setup but now the pressure bleeds off when not running thus having to build back up when I restart. Makes sense due to the return regulator installed after the rails. I have an inline check valve installed on the supply line to the rails but that's not really doing much good anymore IMO. My fuel pressure now is about 20psi after sitting for awhile and then simply turning the key to the ON position which primes the pump. It does go back to about 50psi when the engine is turned over.
Is this normal?
