Alright guess i'm sure some of you guys have been asked this many times.
I think i may need a higher stall converter to get out of the hole at the track.
As of right now i'm running an m1 and rockers along with other bolt ons. I'm wondering what the stall should be. Would something along the lines of a 2600-2800 be good. I cannot afford a viper so please don't suggest it.

when you have good traction at the track, where does it realy seem to start pulling hard?

What RPMs are your shift points, on the flash you just got? What is your rev limit?

I should have a 2800stall (viper) any day now -muahahahaha:woot:

2800 would prolly be best. I had a 2400 with pretty much the same bolt ons, and it would still bog for about 500rpms or so. Or throw some 4.56's in it.

gofast it shifts at 5400 and the rev limiter is set at 6000. It seems to pull real good at about 2600 on up i'm still on stock head and cam.

Ok here is what i can tell you, I have a Martin Saine 2800 stall converter along with a MSaine Valvebody for my tranny. It is a true 2800 stall and the valvebody on it right performs just great, it is fast and accurate and it is easy to drive around with that converter. I don't have any problems with it and it is not too much for the both of them. I think i got them for around $650 for both, i will have to go and look it up on how much i spent but i think that is about how much i spent for them.

Now another suggestion is, contacting John @ southeastr/t and he can suggest you to Gary, his main guy that works on trannies for him and see what he has to offer. Just look around and see who gives you the best customer service, price, etc.

thanks for the help i won't have to worry about a valve body b/c the tranny is already built i have a slightly higher stall than the stock one i think it is comparable to a 2000 stall but its just not enough.
